An American Airlines ticket agent is being hailed as a hero after her intuition saved two teenage girls from a possible human trafficking incident. According to Fox News, Denice Miracle realized something wasn't right when the two young girls showed up at Sacramento International Airport trying to board a flight to New York City without adult supervision and only two small bags.
Miracle alerted deputy Todd Sanderson, who found the two girls near their departure gate. The girls told him they were contacted on Instagram by a person named "Drey" who told them he would pay them $2,000 to star in music videos and participate in modeling shoots. The girls were shocked to learn their tickets were one-way and purchased with a fraudulent credit card.
The girls were reunited with their parents, who had no idea the two had planned to travel across the country.
Police have not released any information on the investigation into the man who attempted to lure the girls to New York.
