Sometimes a special occasion calls for a celebration at a special restaurant, a place where you can splurge a bit and treat yourself to a pricey meal full of delicious food, incredible service and ambiance for a memorable experience fit for the occasion you are celebrating.

LoveFood compiled a list of the "most expensive restaurant" in every state, basing its choices on "the priciest main course or tasting menu, and avoiding spots with just one very expensive dish." According to the site, the top spot in all of North Carolina is Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in Charlotte, which has mouthwatering steak options that are worth the sky-high price.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, which has a 4.5 star rating on Google and more than 2,300 reviews, is located at 4725 Piedmont Row Drive, Suite 170.

Here's what the site had to say about this expensive Tar Heel State spot:

"The most expensive steak on the menu at steakhouse chain Del Frisco's is a toss-up between the wagyu beef and the prime tomahawk. The Japanese A5 wagyu comes in at $80 for 3oz and $160 for 6oz, while the prime tomahawk is a head-turning $131. You can save a little cash by making it a meal for two by adding side dishes (an extra $14-$26 each). Although steak dominates the menu here, other dishes include double-bone lamb chops ($77), high-end seafood at market price, and lump crab cakes for $53."
