Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson was present at the team's training camp session on Wednesday (July 30), effectively ending his holdout.

The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. shared a video of Hendrickson, 30, arriving at the Kettering Health Practice Fields after being absent for the team's first week of workouts in an effort to get a contract extension for the upcoming 2025 NFL season. The confirmation came hours after multiple NFL media members reported that the 2024 NFL sack leader planned to end his holdout.

Hendrickson was placed on the team's did not report list on July 23, one day after Bengals veterans arrived at training camp, and faced a potential fine of up to $50,000 for each day missed in adherence with the NFL's collective bargaining agreement with the NFL Players Association. The veteran defensive end would've also been subject to losing some of his base salary had his holdout continued through Cincinnati's preseason schedule.

Hendrickson, who has been selected to the Pro Bowl during each of the last four seasons, was a First-team All-Pro for the first time in his career last season, recording a league-best 17.5 sacks, which matched his career-best set during the previous season, along with a career-best 46 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 36 QB hits. The 30-year-old had previously requested a trade in April, along with wide receiver Tee Higgins, who eventually got the long-term deal he was seeking this offseason.
